What was the highlight of Hotel Quinta das Lagrimas
Gorgeous hotel in stunning romantic and natural setting
Absolutely stunning property in a romantic, historical setting amongst lush gardens and tranquil water canals. Lovely outside pool - but the inside one is beautiful too, with sauna. Gorgeous restaurant and breakfast room, with little ducks waddling about in the morning. The rooms aren’t totally renovated but they shouldn’t be, as they are perfect as they are, functional and with “soul”. Amazing staff, welcoming, helpful and kind.
The hotel isn’t inside the historical center of Coimbra, but it is close. The problem is that the hotel is so beautiful… you don’t feel like leaving!

What was the highlight of Hotel Quinta das Lagrimas
I would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet get away for some rest and relaxation.
Both the rooms we had for the night were beautiful, clean, and elegant. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The complimentary breakfast had something for everyone. I would highly recommend this hotel and was sad to have only spent one night there.
The shower in our room was not the best, an upgrade to the shower/bath tub would go a long way in my opinion.

Exceptional day-retreat
Exceptional luxury retreat with a very good value price. The locations is spectacular, with the hotel located in a beautiful and romantic forest. All the staff is amazing and the level of attention to the guests is extraordinary. Highly suggested as a 1/2night stops during your car trip on the north coast of portugal.

Beautiful. The best duck I have ever had in. The restaurant there.
Lovely historic building with lots of nooks and crannies.
The entrance is easy to miss.
